Service Animals
In accordance with North Carolina laws and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are welcome at our properties. A service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. There is no additional fee for service animals.
Emotional Support Animals (ESAs)
Emotional support animals (ESAs) provide comfort and support to individuals with emotional or mental health conditions. While ESAs are not granted the same access rights as service animals under the ADA, we recognize their importance and are committed to accommodating guests with ESAs to the best of our ability.
Disclosure and Accommodation
To ensure we can accommodate your needs, it is essential that you disclose your service animal or ESA prior to booking. This allows us to make every effort to find a suitable property for your stay. Please note the following:
Disclosure Requirement: Guests must inform us of their service animal or ESA during the booking process. Failure to disclose this information in advance may limit our ability to provide appropriate accommodations.
Property Selection: While we will make every effort to accommodate guests with service animals or ESAs, not all properties in our portfolio are suitable for pets. Our team will work with you to identify a suitable property that meets your needs.
Documentation: For ESAs, we may require documentation from a licensed healthcare professional verifying the need for the animal.
Pet Fees: There is no fee for service animals. However, properties accommodating ESAs may be subject to a pet fee to cover additional cleaning and maintenance costs.
Behavior and Responsibility: Guests are responsible for the behavior and supervision of their service animals or ESAs. Any damages caused by the animal will be the responsibility of the guest.
