Ocracoke Guests: Important Travel Guidance A mandatory evacuation has been issued for Hatteras Island but does not include Ocracoke at this time. However, travel to and from Ocracoke will likely be affected.

**Arriving guests:** Before leaving home, confirm that your planned route is accessible and your ferry is operating and accepting travelers. Please do not assume you will be able to reach Ocracoke through Hatteras.

If Hatteras Ferry Is Not Running - Alternate Ferry routes: Cedar Island and Swan Quarter offer longer crossings with fewer departures and limited capacity. Reservations are required but you can also get in line for stand-by.

 **Guests currently on Ocracoke:** If you cannot stay beyond your scheduled departure or haven't already made alternative arrangements with staff, we recommend arranging to leave while safe travel options remain available. Please do not count on being able to leave at your originally planned time. Travel can be delayed for days or much longer.
