No Ka Oi

Great stay.

No Ka Oi is a solid choice for couples or small groups travelling with pets. The large yard is completely fenced in, and there's even room for a vehicle inside the gate. Architecturally, it's one of the more interesting places we've stayed on Ocracoke. There are two comfy bedrooms with baths situated on either side of a large living space. The kitchen is roomy. The showpiece is a wooden spiral staircase leading to an upper room that has windows all around and an exterior walkway. It's a perfect office space or place to hang out and enjoy the breeze. The surrounding trees block out most artificial light, so the stargazing is very good. The foliage makes No Ka Oi fees very private and tucked away even though it's only a five minute walk to the Coffee Company. The property is on the older side, but for the most part it's well-maintained. Overall we had a great stay and definitely would choose No Ka Oi again.

The house was really nice. We have stayed here on Ocracoke many times and I think this property was one of the best we have stayed in. Thank you all at blue heron!

Clean and comfortable!!

It was a fantastic home! We would stay there again. My family and I absolutely loved this house. It was clean and had everything we needed. Being so close to the coffee shop was also a huge plus! We can't wait to go back!

Property was very clean!! It was probably the cleanest home we have stayed in on the island since we started visiting the island in 2010!! It was nice to have cleaning supplies on site to help keep the home clean during our stay! Kitchen was well stocked! Nice fenced in yard and very quiet!

No Ka Oi is our favorite place to stay on Ocracoke Island. We will be back next year. Thank you! ❤️

No Ka Oi is a well-maintained and well-equipped dog-friendly property with special artistic and architectural features not commonly found in most rental cottages. The spacious and open kitchen is well suited for dinner prep and conversations with the cook(s). Skylights and lots of windows make it airy and the fully fenced-in yard in a tucked-away neighborhood gave us privacy and a place for our dog to roam while enjoying cocktails on the front porch. Beds are comfortable and all on the first level. In walking and/or biking distance to the village and its amenities. Would most definitely rent this house again. Highly recommend!

For an older home it has been maintained very well.

We found this location perfect for our family and the dogs. The high, sturdy fence, quiet, back road and gates on the deck made for a relaxing time with our pups. It is arranged and decorated in a low key, easy to maintain way. We would definitely stay here again!

We thought this was a very good value for the money. Great yard for our toy poodle. Too buggy to sit outside.

One of the better properties we have stayed at over the years and would like to use it again next year. The fence was safe for the dog.

My wife and I have rented many properties in Hatteras and Ocracoke of the course of 30+ years, and No Ka Oi was hands down the best equipped and maintained we have ever stayed in!

the bikes and bike lights were great. really enjoyed our stay.

Because of our 3 year old i was very pleased with the decks and fenced in yard. He could go out by himself, of course, we were right behind him. He loved to go one way while we went the other. Very pleased!
