This house was wonderful, and we enjoyed our stay! We were worried that we would have to move furniture around for my mother to be able to navigate in her electric wheelchair, but found that there was plenty of space for her to move around. The dining room table was perfect for her to just pull her wheelchair up to the end and not have to sit weird becuase it didn't fit. That's a great bonus! From a handicap accessibility standpoint, there were a few small things that could have enhanced our stay, but are definitely not a huge deal and we were able to work through them. (1) There is a tiny step to get into the house, or out on the back porch. For someone in a manual wheelchair, not a big deal. My mother uses an electric wheelchair, so it was harder for her to get in/out of the house. We have made note to bring something that can be used as a small ramp for the future. (2) All of the beds were VERY high off of the floor. This required someone to assist my mother in getting in and out of bed because she was unable to hoist herself out of her wheelchair.

The Fig and the Thistle was more than we expected. It was so pleasant. We opened the windows and the air circulated through the house so well that we did not need AC. The view of the sound was beautiful. We enjoyed being there and want to return!
